‪‎Economists‬ admit: “‪‎Humans‬ are fundamentally a social species with interaction patterns that shape their behaviors”. ‪Eureka‬!!

Eureka economics paradigm shiftEconomists‬ admit: “Humans‬ are fundamentally a social species with interaction patterns that shape their behaviors.”
What has caused this startling discovery?! A genuine ambition “to build better models”!
First of all, I would like to applaud, seriously, The Journal of Economic Perspectives (published by the American Economic Association) for willingness to leave their scorched earth and barren desert and to sail to new territories and discover vibrant, rich, fascinating and real worlds — JEP’s recent issue was devoted to Social Networks.
I would be the first to endorse and support a more pluralistic economics and interdisciplinary research of the ‪‎economy‬. But as a baby’s first steps are concurrently exciting, clumsy and funny, so are economics’ efforts to see beyond their nose. This, of course, in order to achieve a higher purpose “to build better models”. Hallelujah! 😉
